As of January 1st, 2008, two certifications are required to pull permits for one or two family dwellings: Dwelling Contractor Certification and Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Certification. To obtain your Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Certification, you are required to complete a 12-hour initial qualifier course. Our 12 hour qualifier course has been approved by the state and is available in two formats: online or home study. We offer the best pricing and the fastest way to complete your training. Our program starts at $99.
Online Program Our online program consists of only 120 graded questions which will equal 12 hours of credit. All of your reading can be completed online (though you can also request printed copies of the material). A 70% is required to pass the quizzes. If you do not pass a particular quiz, you are able to take it as often as necessary. As soon as you have passed all of the quizzes, you will be able to instantly print off your certificate of completion. There is no need to wait to receive one in the mail or email.
Home Study Program There are only 120 graded questions and a 70% is required to pass. Once you have completed the quizzes, you can mail, email, or fax your answer sheet back to our office. After your quiz has been graded, we will then provide you with your certificate of completion.
What topics does the course cover?
What are the fees and how do I register? You will be required to maintain 12 hours of continuing education every two years after you obtain your license. Please contact our office when you are ready to obtain your continuing education credits. Be sure to ask about our past student discounts! |
